HP Officejet 4610 All-in-One Printer Review - Free Download Driver
A3 printers have been terribly specific devices, as they have to be. Not everyone should print on a normal basis at A3 size, and not everyone will have the ability to accommodate an A3 printer on their desk   for many smallish businesses or individuals that an A3 printer may as well be its very own desk. HP's own marketing material may reference it as"surprisingly streamlined", but at 625.2x486.5x297mm and 16.2kg it's not a printer it is easy to miss.

Having said that, it's happily laid out, using the typical piano black finish you'd expect from any contemporary printer and smooth curves that direct you towards its 2.65-inch colour LCD and paper at the bottom.

In specification conditions , it supports Ethernet and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi together with assistance for HP's remote ePrint built in as well, meaning it's a printer that you can shoot documents to from almost anywhere you would like. It makes sense that if you're going to devote quite this much distance to a printer that it should do every thing short of baking biscuits, so additional features are absolutely welcome.

High yield cartridges will also be available with a claimed 1,000 page yield. HP's RRP for your black cartridge is 33, that equates to approximately 8.25c per webpage. To put it differently, if you were going to drive this printer it might make sense to put money into the higher return cartridges straight from day one.

HP does not provide speed promises for A3 printing, which can be slightly annoying. Who's going to buy an A3 printer, not print in A3 sizes on it?

Installation of this HP Officejet 7610 is comparatively simple, with the typical collection of little bits of blue tape to unravel and print cartridges to set up. HP provides every form of cable you'd need for connectivity from the box.

One factor that we quite liked during setup was that the printer comes wrapped in what we can call a shopping bag. This can be a bonus because the OfficeJet is as noted, quite big and bulky. Getting it out of the box on your own without the grips on the plastic tote would be murder. With them, it's only fairly violent.

It's Wi-Fi competent, as well as the 2.65-inch LCD display makes it fairly simple to throw on a network for immediate access across multiple servers. We tested print speeds using a linked USB cable largely to remove any system bottlenecks, but equally ethernet and Wi-Fi functioned well during our evaluation period.

Using best coverage from a cold start, the HP Officejet 7610 managed one page in 33.1 minutes, along with an average of just 2ppm, which is not too far off HP's claims. For an inkjet that's okay, but it is more than just 10ppm slower compared to HP's claims.

Printing at A3 sizes naturally saw printing rates autumn, as did print in color. It is improbable that you'd only wish to publish plain text in A3 dimensions, however we found that if you'd like, the average print speed was approximately 35 minutes per page. Start sending it more complex A3 colour work and speed drops to below 1ppm, but that's very far to be anticipated.

Colour quality when printing on either plain or photo paper has been adequate with no stellar. Again, that is an issue of the right tool for your job; if picture fidelity is really a must-have item, a dedicated photo printer would be a better choice.

Running an A3 printer is just not going to be a cheap enterprise, and it is not for everyone. If you simply need very intermittent A3 printing, then we'd suggest a cheaper regular A4 printer and intermittent excursions to the copy shop.
